My Story

In 2016, my life changed after I experienced two concussions within a week. After the first concussion,

I pushed myself back into exercise while still symptomatic, not fully understanding the risks.

This decision led to a second, far more serious head injury. I collapsed and struck my head and neck on the edge of my family's wooden piano. I was rushed to hospital, where CT and MRI imaging confirmed a mild traumatic brain injury that later developed into post-concussion syndrome.

Recovery was long and confronting; nocturnal seizures, memory loss, persistent headaches, and months of deep physical and emotional exhaustion. Much of that time was spent in bed, questioning whether I would feel like myself again.

While this was one of the most vulnerable periods of my life, it became the foundation of my purpose. It continues to shape how I practice today and why I'm committed to supporting others through complex health journeys; with empathy, evidence, and truly personalised care.
